Anne Soash, Shibui Consulting Founder and Principal Consultant

Anne Soash is an accomplished, results-driven compensation leader with 20+ years of cross-functional experience serving as a strategic business partner in delivering operational improvements, compensation strategies, and sales incentive expertise across high-profile, market-leading organizations. 

She approaches her work with a unique perspective from her experience in analytics, technology, and process engineering combined with a people centric view. She has recently launched her own consulting company helping to simplify the complexities in Compensation.

Most recently she has worked in the Financial Industry at Wells Fargo. As Head of Enterprise Compensation, she led a team of 180 who were responsible for the design of enterprise strategies for Compensation impacting 260,000 employees globally as well as the execution of all bonus and incentive plans.  She was hired into Wells Fargo in April of 2015 to design and implement a strong incentive governance approach to reduce sales practices risk.  Through that work she led the development of a robust incentive compensation philosophy, programs, policy, guidelines, and standards that support Wells Fargo’s business strategy and serve as the framework that incentive compensation programs align to globally.  She then built and managed the team who led the design and execution of the enterprise incentive design process and consolidated 35 dispersed incentive administration teams into one centralized team to further strengthen the governance.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Anne was an Incentive Manager at Bank of America leading the incentive design and administration for the Merrill Edge Brokerage group.  During her 9-year tenure at Bank of America, Anne also managed incentive plans for deposit, card, and customer marketing call centers as well as Fraud & Claims.  Prior to working in incentives, she led Six Sigma projects in both the banking centers and call centers.

Anne started her career at Target Corporation and held various leadership roles during her career there in both a Distribution Center as well as in the Distribution Strategy group.  Anne received her MBA at the University of Minnesota – Carlson School of Management and a Bachelor’s of Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan with a major of Industrial Operations & Engineering.  Anne is also a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Compensation Professional, and Certified Sales Compensation Professional.

In her personal life Anne focuses on her family and traveling. She has coached basketball, soccer, and fastpitch. She is the president of the high school girls basketball booster club and the girls tournament director for the Champlin Park Traveling Basketball Association. In addition, she co-owns Tettegouche Lodge, a large whole house rental on Minnesota’s North Shore, with her sister.
